Third and final day of Auckland Age Group Championships 2015, has been a big 3 days and was finished off session 5 with two more medals,
Stella got Silver in the 200 Breast and
Flynn getting a Bronze in the 400 Free.
There has Been a lot of Pbs all weekend and some great swims by all, has been a big last month of training, so it was great for the team to finish sixth overall Team in Auckland with the team collecting 14 Auckland medals. So awesome job from our Team of 13 swimmers who all did their part in helping the team with their points.
Day 3 Session 4 of Auckland Age Groups we got off to a good start we Jesse making a National time in the 100 Free, then we had
Sam get a Silver in the 200 Fly and
Stella getting Bronze in the 100 Breaststroke
Great work guys, the final session starts at 3pm, 200 Breast, 50 Back, 400 Free. Lets finish strong.
Roskill Swim team finished day 2 of Auckland Age Groups with just one more Medal going to
Sam in the 400 IM.
Still rest of the team putting in some good work and getting more PBs and a few fourth places.
Tomorrow is the third and final day, with session 4 starting at 7.45am.
Day 2 followed on from last nights results at the Auckland Age Group Championships 2015 with the team getting 5 Auckland Medals,
Sam getting Bronze in the 100 Fly,
Eddie Getting Silver in the 100 Fly,
Stella getting Bronze in the 100 Fly,
Ori Getting Gold in the 50 Free and
Flynn Finishing the morning off with Bronze in the 200 Back.

Day 1 Of the Auckland Championships 2015 for the Roskill Swim team got off to a good start with the team collecting 4 Auckland Medals, with Ori getting Gold in the 50 Fly, Gemma getting Bronze in the 50 Fly, Flynn getting Bronze in the 100 Back and Stella finishing a late night with a Bronze in the 200 IM. Also A lot of good PBs for the team.
Tomorrow racing starts at 9am. Lets keep up the good work and race hard again tomorrow.
Today the Roskill team got up early and met at Cameron Pools at 6am and started our journey over to Quinton Park in Takapuna for the start of the 2015 Auckland Harbour Crossing at 7.30am, it was a 2.9km course a cross the Auckland harbour finishing in the Viaduct. We had a team of 18 young and old taking part. Flynn was the fastest of the Roskill swimmers coming in at 42mins and Samantha being the fastest girl and also getting a Bronze for the 15yrs and under age group. We even had Alex at the age of 10yrs being the youngest swimmer in the whole event, making the swim as well, with the huge help of our club President Mike sticking together the whole way. Plus Also had our old guy Daniel winning a spot prize for his efforts today.
It was a great day and a great effort by all the swimmers young and old, Next step is NZ Open Water Champs with the 10km and 5km swims, bring it on.
Roskill Swim Team swam at the Takapuna Beach Series last night, doing the 1500m swim as a practice and build up for the Auckland Harbour swim coming up next week and then the NZ Open Water Champs next year, had some great results from our team,as you can see from this link http://results.racetiming.co.nz/competitions/1331/Swim%201500m. Was a great change from swimming in the pool even had young Alex doing the 250m swim and then swimming the 1500m swim, it was awesome job by the whole team.
On the weekend Roskill had A team of 9 Swimmers at this years Auckland Juniors, We got a lot of fourth places, with swimmers just missing out on medals, but we did have these Swimmers collected medals, Noah Makaea getting Silver in the 11yrs old 50 Breast, Jesse Tu’inukuafe getting Bronze in the 12yrs old 50 Free, We had Noah, Andrew, Alex and Vienna all make New Zealand Junior times, plus Jesse also making Level 1. There were a lot of PBs by all swimmers which is great as it was the first time most of the team had swam at that level.
So well done to all swimmers and bring on Auckland Age Groups 2016 on the 18th December.
